How do I upgrade XC8 compiler from free version to Pro with Omniscient Code Generation? I have installed XC8 under MPLAB-X and I have rapidly filled up the device. When I installed it, it said that I could upgrade to Pro mode for 60 days. I get the output above on 'Clean and Build'. I get an identical output under 'Free' mode with 'Clean and Build', so the Pro switch is having no effect. I installed this before the Masters 2014 and I was pretty sure I did the 'Free' install, but it occurs to me that the Pro mode has expired. Would this be a fair summary? What about having Microchip promoting the FREE optimization mode to the STANDARD level for the free use in honor of MPLAB C18 and his development team?
